Daniel Owen Thompson, Founder & Jason's Father

February 15th, 1949-October 10th, 2003

Born on Pontiac, MI, Daniel Owen Thompson was raised by Lydia & Glen Thompson within very scarce means. All his family and friends knew and loved him as Danny. A drop-out at the age of 14 due to the death of his father Glen, he was beckoned to care for his mother and siblings.

After years of caregiving, he was hired in his early-adulthood by the West Bloomfield School District as Janitorial Maintenance Staff. During that time, he met & married Janet Wright and had four sons and two daughters: Edward, Glenn, Mike, Jason, Sheri and Pamela.

Growing up in the Thompson household, Jason recognized his father to be a very hard worker with a bulletproof work ethic, always honest and that he took tremendous pride in his work. As Jason grew older, he held on to these traits and dreamed about creating his own company with his father.

Sadly, when Jason was only 22 years old, his father Danny passed away unexpectedly. Ever since, Jason still held true to his dreams and his strong desire to create something amazing in his father’s name.

Dealing with the loss of Danny, Jason struggled to find himself in the real world in the absence of his father. Danny was literally everything to Jason. After bouncing from job to job and not knowing what exactly he was supposed to do, Jason went back to his roots and what his dad told him:

“Love the Lord Jesus, work hard, love what you do, take pride in your work, do the best job you can possibly do to help people and don’t be greedy”.

After contemplating this advice, Jason realized that it’s most important to carry on where his father had left off which was caring for and helping people by using the skills he had possessed the whole time. That was it.

From that moment forward, Jason decided to do just that by starting his very own painting company using the values and disciplines taught to him by his father, Danny.
